A comfortable space with different ambiances and plenty of seating areas.

Library/Game room

A smaller room where you can play cards or just read a book in peace and quiet.

Formal living room

A stunning room, elegantly decorated with high ceilings and a fireplace.
Together with the formal dining room, embodies the most palatial area of the villa. (Second Floor)

Hall with seating area

Located close to the suites and where is the access to the little indoor chapel.

There are also two social bathrooms, one on each floor, to serve the communal areas

Dining Rooms

At Solar da Luz, you and your loved ones can enjoy your meals in four different and charming spaces:

Family Dinig room

The coziest dining space, seating up to 16 people. It is located next to the kitchen, the game/library, and the family living room, making it very convenient for breakfast or other meals while you and your loved ones enjoy your time together indoors. (First Floor)

Indoor Patio

A space where you can enjoy your meal in the fresh air, especially in the warmer seasons. With a seating area for up to 18 people. (First Floor)

Old Kitchen

Converted into a dining room, seats up to 10 people. It is a charming room where you can still see the original kitchen features, and antique pieces blend with modern designers such as the beautiful Boca do Lobo’s heritage sideboards. (Second Floor).

Formal Dining Room

High ornate ceilings, a beautiful Murano chandelier in the center, exquisite furnishing, and other details makes this a luxurious room. Seating up to 20 people, it is the perfect place for special celebrations. Together with the adjacent formal living room, it will certainly inspire you to have a more lavish lunch or dinner. (Second Floor)

In the spring and summer, we can also organize a table in the garden for you to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful sunny outdoors.

Chapel

The origins of the indoor chapel remain a mystery. However, this sacred space has likely been part of the house since the Fidalgos da Luz family built it. Portugal is a predominantly Catholic country, and it was common for families, regardless of their wealth or social standing, to have a dedicated space for religious symbols and prayer in their homes.
